Blue Lady: The Angelica Mason Series by Stephany Tullis is a fun read that leaves readers pondering the big "What If" of life. The Rolling Stones sang "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometime, you just might find you get what you need," and this fiction story is a grand representation of these lyrics.
Some authors of short stories fail to thoroughly develop characters in so few pages, but Tullis does this in fabulous fashion. I adored Angelica and could relate to her in many ways, especially her strength and outspoken cheekiness. The repartee or cat/mouse between she and Shawn was highly entertaining - with countless memorable lines. Since this is a short story, I won't elaborate on all the things I found amusing, but I'm sure Paula Dean is appreciative her biscuits were used in a clever phrase.
This short left me wanting to learn the significance of the "Blue Lady," how those antics play out in the next round, and whether or not these two lost lovers can reconnect.
Angelica is confident, but the twist ending may throw a monkey wrench into her "best laid plans." What will happen between the interesting cast of characters is yet to be seen, but I feel Angelica is gutsy enough to make things go her way.
I love this start of the series that left me anticipating forthcoming books. It left me contemplating a variety of "What ifs" about this golden couple, and two days later, the Bill Withers song "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone" is still lingering in my head. That's a good thing! I highly recommend this short story and know you'll be hooked into following the series!

Blue Lady The Angelica Mason Series Book 1 edition by Stephany Tullis Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Now, where is she, the Blue Lady, going to go. I've read the other books by this author and enjoyed them all. Angelica made her choices. Now were are they going to take her. The character is a very interesting one and well fleshed out. I don't want to spoil this so I'm having a difficult time with what to say. I'm going to stop right here and just say, this is a fun read.
Angelica is a woman who knows what she wants in life. Leaving a high powered job in DC, she returns to Smoothville City, GA, as the Manager. She also wants Shawn Mallory for her husband! Little does she know what Shawn wants, however.
In just a few pages this author has illustrated that Angelica loves the finer things in life....she is stylish and appreciates all that life has to offer. She is missing the one thing that she really desires and that is dear old Shawn.
I wasn't expecting such a cliff hanger at the end but should have seen it coming. That in itself is indicative of an outstanding short story! Excellent character development and the reader feels as though both Angelica and Shawn are our friends by the end.
Looking forward to reading the next part in this one.
Most highly recommended.
I adore the main character in this short story. Angelica Mason is a strong willed, well-educated woman. She decides to give up a high power position to pursue love. Not many people are brave enough to make such a choice.
The man of her dreams is her high school sweetheart Shawn. Does she get her man? Is Angelica happy with the choices she’s made? I won’t give away what happens. You need to read this delightful romance.
Author Stephany Tullis continues to write wonderful books. This is the third one of hers I’ve read. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
I enjoyed Blue Lady The Angelica Mason Series. I loved the main character Angelica as I related to her in many ways. No spoilers here. "to be continued"…I'm so looking forward to the next book in this exciting series. I highly recommend and give author Stephany Tullis 5 out of 5 stars for this gem.
Angelica Mason is a force of nature. When she makes a decision, look out world! Beautiful, accomplished, she's covered a lot of ground at a young age. That has involved making some big shifts, including a move back to Smoothville after a stint in Washington, D.C., close to the center of it all! She has a new plan--this time she's playing for keeps and for love. This short, fast-paced story is filled with fun, fashion, food and clever characters--and that's only the beginning... She's ended this introduction to Angelica Mason, aka "Blue Lady" with a cliffhanger. Can't imagine what she'll get up to next, but I'm betting the author can. Bring it, Blue Lady, let's see what you've got!
Blue Lady (The Angelic Mason Series) by Author Stephany Tullis
What a captivating short story! Angelica Mason is a successful business woman who is both well-educated and ambitious. Her high school sweetheart Shaw Mallory is equally educated and successful. How did she let him slip through her fingers and what can she do to get him back? He has the makings of a desirable husband and Angelica is about to engage in her "Blue Lady" tactics to win him over. Little does she know that Shawn is playing a few games of his own...
This romantic novella is short, sweet, and the reader is left wanting to know more. I'm no exception as I can't wait to read what unfolds in this intriguing series. Great cover...especially if you like the color blue!

Blue Lady The Angelica Mason Series. By Stephany Tullis
A lovely short story. I'd not call it a book in a series, it's more a part of a serial story due to the abrupt cliffhanger "to be continued" ending. However, it was a fun read and well-written, and I recommend it. Angelica is a strong female character, and this episode expands on how she is setting up to weave a love interest with Shawnee.
Looking forward to continuing to see where this episode short story is heading.
I recommend this for a lighthearted, short read.
